About The Artwork

My original photograph was taken at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, Oregon. I created this art piece utilizing Photoshop effects, brush strokes, background textures, and overlays. Tuliptic is Fine Art Giclée Print on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. Image with mirrored printed sides is wrapped around a 1.50 or 1.75 inch wooden stretcher frame specifically designed for Giclée prints and then stapled on the back. Black Tyvek is applied to the back, along with black felt bumpers and hanging hardware (sawtooth hanger or hanging wire depending on size). Your artwork is ready to hang. No frame is needed. Our prints are produced for order and require 2-5 business days before shipping since our Giclée Prints on canvas require a 48-hour curing time before we apply a Satin Varnish to protect the print. Creative Heartworks Fine Art Prints are produced in-house using high quality archival inks and media that have light fastness ratings of 100 to 200 years. We print using the Epson Stylus Pro 9800 - a 44-inch professional wide-format printer with 8-color ink technology, which produces prints with amazing color fidelity. A Certificate of Authenticity is provided for all prints on paper and canvas. Each certificate provides the artist’s name, title of the print, year released, edition type (open or limited with the number in the series), ink type, media type, dimensions, and care instructions. FYI: Because of variances in computer monitors, there may be color and density differences between the on-screen image you are viewing and the final reproduction, therefore your print may not look exactly like it does on your screen. "Tuliptic" An Original Poem by Debbie Smith The tulip is lovely and graceful It fills us with delight With delicate stems that reach so high Up towards bright sunlight Glorious colors so beautiful Very vibrant hues Shades of Reds and Yellows Shades of Violet Blues But the tulips will come then go again The Spring that sprung will have passed It's often hard to understand That tulips are meant to last Until they're gone we'll celebrate Through tulip fields we'll play Appreciating all their glory And the beauty that's here today

Now living in Pensacola, Florida, Debbie was born in Mobile, Alabama, and spent most of her life living along or near the Gulf Coast, including 12 years in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her journeys have taken her throughout the states and to Europe, Mexico, Israel and India. She also traveled to Egypt numerous times and had the opportunity to live there for one year in 1989-90. While studying art in college, Debbie received instruction in all mediums and most styles. Although she enjoyed using oils and watercolors, she found her greatest satisfaction came when using charcoal, pencil and pastels to create realistic art, which she favored until 2012 when she began painting abstracts. Moving from realistic art to abstract art was a difficult transition for Debbie, but she embraced the challenge of letting go, using color, and not staying in the lines. During the past year, she has been utilizing Photoshop to create original digital artwork and creative photo art for both herself and her husband Storm Smith. Her commissioned portraits and original art can be found in homes and businesses throughout the states. As an artist, fine art printmaker, former gallery owner/director and many years employed as Executive Assistant to CEOs of large corporations, Debbie has a wide breadth of experience and the wonderful gifts of being logical and organized, and also intuitive and creative.
