In the constant battle of the umbrella, I am a loser. Someone once told me that an umbrella in London is like underwear "you can't forget". Although there are controversies about it, nothing is more lonely than being among the bunch of umbrellas during rush hour, it is the best way to feel lonely in the crowd. The importance of art and self-expression began early, as the younger daughter of a Brazilian fine artist, Elza Cortese and an Italian tenor, Vincenzo Cortese. An internship at Márcio Scavone's studio, an extraordinary name in the portrait photography in Brazil, got Loredana to experience the meet and greet behind the lens. All synergy and learning at the beginning of her's soul in photography was nurtured there. Following her passion for portraits, she successfully ventured through social photography. The delicacy and depth of the photographs addressed Loredana as a respected name in the social photography market for online and printed publications. Last but not least, portraits & interior design came together in an incredible journey documenting some of the most iconic and majestic houses of São Paulo & their owners for GoArt Advising by Camila Yunes. Living in London for the past 3 years, you can find some of her clicks featured on Time Out London. Direct the spectator beyond the picture is her favourite exercise, leading the eyes to the details that the iris considers with the naked eye, but does not see. Notwithstanding the love for symmetry and repetitions, an effervescent mindset is also wide-awake for colours and daily moments behind every click. Telling stories not only by the photo itself but also by the title or caption are evenly significant for her. In the eternal crusade to eternalize the moments, even though they do not exist, but they can be created to invoke other moments, other stories and other experiences in each one of us. So, which one comes first: the photo or the title?
