I grew up with the notion that seeing single white feathers meant that someone who had departed this earthly realm was alerting us to their presence from the 'other side.' During a peaceful autumn walk, I saw this bright white feather in a sea of fallen brown, bronze and copper leaves and immediately responded to the symbolism with an overwhelming sense of peace and love. Hopefully, this feeling is instilled within the artwork and will fill your heart with peace and endless love, too.

Toula Mavridou-Messer is a contemporary and fine art photographer working primarily in the UK, Europe, and America. She has exhibited her work at galleries and art fairs and is a proud Saatchi Art 'Artist of Recognition,' having had her images curated into Saatchi Art collections. Toula is inspired by the wonder of the everyday world around her; from landscapes to nature and wildlife. As Toula says, "I am constantly in a state of wonderment at the beauty, magic, intrigue, and humour of the world around us. Art is how your heart sees things, isn't it? Sometimes everything is clear and crisp, other times it seems black and white but most of the time it's filled with joy and happiness. My heart has captured every image that you see in my portfolio. Hopefully, one or two will capture yours, too."
