I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia in the late 80's. My introduction with contemporary arts is when joining Kampung Segart, a community that is engaged in the visual arts in public spaces. Now I work part-time as a graphic designer, and also as journal administrators for visualjalanan.org . The journal was initiated by Forum Lenteng ( http://forumlenteng.org ) and Kampung Segart (http://instagram.com/kampungsegart ) to record visual activity that occurs on the streets. Forum Lenteng is a non-profit organization as a means of developing an egalitarian social and cultural studies that stood since 2003, was founded by students (communication / journalism), art workers, researchers and observers - to become a tool for assessment of cultural issues in the community, in order to support and expand the opportunities for the implementation of the study of social and cultural empowerment in Indonesia. In 2008, I participated in a video workshop to be displayed in Jakarta 32 º C which is organized by Ruangrupa ( http://ruangrupa.org ). Since that time I was often involved in various ruangrupa’s programs, such as Jakarta 32 º C (A Student Biennale held in the National Gallery of Indonesia), Ok Video Festival (Jakarta International Video Festival), RRREC Fest. (Ruangrupa Records Festival), Holy Market (Flea market that sells art goods), and many other projects. Since high school, I love to make graffiti in a public space, then in 2009 I use Lykerex as my signature on the street. Lykerex is the alter-ego where I can use him to do anything in my artworks. I also make comics ( http://komikpinter.tumblr.com ), a comic about the event and daily jokes that may not suitable for kids. In 2013, komikpinter awarded "Most Slimy Comics" at FKF held by Daging Tumbuh as a parallel event of the Biennale Jogja XII - Equator #2. In 2013, with my colleague in Visual jalanan, I initiated Klub Karya Bulu Tangkis (http://instagram.com/klubkarya ). Our first project was "Petualangan Nasi Uduk" (Nasi Uduk Adventure) that displayed at ARTE Indonesia Arts Festival at the Jakarta Convention Center. In this project, we observed and create a map based on location of Nasi Uduk sellers in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta. I'm happy to experiment, therefore I freed myself to use a variety mediums and techniques, without limit.
