About The Artwork

Waffle House Interlude Monotype 25x20 cm Signed Original Artwork In this monotype depicting the interior of a Waffle House using a bright pastel palette, represents visual storytelling serving as a narrative of nostalgia. Certain places, such as the Waffle House, hold a unique position in our personal histories, for better or worse. For example, I worked full-time at this particular Waffle House throughout high school. I struggled and learned too early about life in this place. This artwork not only pays homage to the physical space but also encapsulates the emotions it elicits (both bright but also broken down). I aim to create a fusion of memory and a sense of place in my creations.
