Listening One and Watchman Print

These two sculptures are united in their origin. They are the outer layer of an ancient bog oak tree trunk. Still being part of the tree the two figures have been in a position of facing each other. One of my RABBITS, Yoshka had lived inside that hollow log and had emptied it further. That one I called Watchman. The complementing sculpture is altogether lighter, has however a heavier part connected to it's lower end. This smaller connected part may be seen as a third sculpture, a child. The making of these figures was simply following from what was present; cutting away the brittle, reconnecting what fell apart. A very relaxed and relaxing approach, not really thinking about a topic - just that meaning keeps presenting itself during the process and after it's completion. This sculpture is for SALE. It's presently located in Germany and the transport needs to be discussed and specially arranged - so I haven't put it up for sale yet.
