About The Artwork

I have designed my work “The Last Dinner Party” in reference to Judy Chicago's art work “The Dinner Party” (1979) which is accepted as the first epic feminist art work. In my work, women who has been the victims of femicide in 2021 are represented. my purpose; Chicago’s installation represents the prominent women throughout history. On the contrary, my work emphasizes the increasing number of femicides in recent years and especially draws attention to the multitude of the murdered women only in a single year. The project is also an extension of my previous two installations, “The Day After Last Supper” (2015) and “Snow White” (2018).
