About The Artwork

This is a fascinating painting that defies the conventional boundaries of form and support. In this contemporary masterpiece, the artist has used a brick as a support, exploring its unique texture and its connection with construction and the passage of time. The focus of the painting is the portrait of a beautiful girl, whose image is impregnated with a palette of warm and vibrant colors. His penetrating gaze and serene expression capture the essence of ephemeral youth and beauty. As our eyes explore the surface of the brick, a surprising effect is revealed: the lines that make up the image of the girl begin to decompose and slowly fade. These meticulously drawn lines evoke a sense of movement and fluidity, as if time itself were unfolding before our eyes. The choice of brick as a support is not accidental. This material, used in the construction of buildings and homes, symbolizes solidity and durability. In this work, however, he becomes a witness to the fragility and transience of human life. The breakdown of the image into lines represents the inexorable passage of time, the constant transformation to which we are all subject. This work invites viewers to reflect on the ephemeral nature of existence and the inevitability of transience. Through this painting, the artist questions our relationship with time and how it influences our perception of the world around us. With its innovative technique and conceptual exploration of time, this work is presented as a valuable contribution to the world of contemporary art. "The Disintegration of the Instant." is an invitation to contemplate the brevity of life and vanishing beauty, and to appreciate the complexity of our own temporal experiences.

Zoe Lunar radiates and works in Mexico City, is a graduate of the national school of painting, sculpture and engraving "La Esmeralda". He is an artist in constant formation, who seeks plastic, visual and sound experimentation. His work feeds on time as matter and how it helps to interpret reality, through temporal representations, of spaces that converge in their social context and how this influences the formation and interpretation of our different contemporary realities; making use of the qualities of painting and drawing to make deformations in a perceptive portrait of different moments, and personal times in a single interpretation. He is currently nurturing his plastic work especially in painting and drawing, giving him new outlets like AR in some of his new works and occasionally making music and video.
