About The Artwork
Original Sharp Boombox Model GF-9595 from the 1980s painted with custom Louis Vuitton design. Our Berlin and Los Angeles handmade BOOMBOXES are unique masterpieces that combine the Artists’ love and passion for Music, Luxury and Fashion. Over the course of several days, sometimes weeks, every AR.N.T designed BOOMBOX goes through a process of near perfection craftsmanship. To prepare the old paint for the new paint job, it must be thoroughly sanded by hand using multiple special tools. The object is then wiped with silicone to avoid any fat residues. Now, the first paint is applied. Then, the handmade stencil is placed on the object.To avoid color distortion, another custom made stencil is used for the BOOMBOX’s complex texture, buttons and edges. The final step is the clear coat finish. Here, only luxury car paints are used to achieve a specular and unique appearance. This make this BOOMBOX a truly astonishing AR.N.T masterpiece.
