It’s Time to Dance // Es ist Zeit zu tanzen // C’est le temps pour danser

We’re often preoccupied by different thoughts ¬– either heavier or lighter. This is a battle of a human with his another “me”. This unexpected rush is not easy to explain to yourself, but oftentimes we haven’t even started to wish for something before we already forbid it for ourselves. The series of paintings “It’s Time to Dance” is a story about a battle between two beginnings, the masculine and the feminine. These are not simply women’s figures, they capture an attempt to teach those beginnings to interact with each other, to live in peace with themselves. Alisa Jakobi Tallinn, 2010 - 2016
