Generational Tapestry

Each panel of the Generational Tapestry series represents a unique aspect of our grandmothers lived feminine experience and is built on an assemblage of their personal handcrafts and heirlooms. A surface is raised above the collage to support the figure of a young woman. She is literally built on the legacy of those who came before. This story explores how we have arrived where we find ourselves today and challenges us to consider what we pass on to our daughters and granddaughters.
