About The Artwork
An icon of country music for decades, this piece celebrates the life and music of Johnny Cash. As his career was so fast I chose not to pick one age for the portrait, but instead the left side of the face portrays the young Johnny Cash, whereas the right side portrays the more mature Cash. The original artwork was made from layers of hand cut paper.

I am an Australia artist living and working in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a collage artist I am fascinated with the use of color, pattern and texture and try to combine these elements in my work in an innovative and exciting way. My technique is still evolving and employs an exploratory and playful process that can incorporate costuming, set design, photography, graphic manipulation, collage and painting. I also hide images within my paper collages, creating a second level of interest beyond the initial image.
