About The Artwork

In this work the little girl watches the spaceship and there are aliens and strange beings in her bedroom. Is it her wonderful night dream or fantasy about her future profession: cosmonaut or scientist, for example? This collage "I still want to believe" is named after the slogan from the TV series "The X-Files". It seems to me that this name reflects well the essence of this collage. Firstly, this collage is a continuation of my "Space" series about outer space, aliens and, of course, us earthlings. Secondly, this collage is about our childhood dreams, fantasies and secrets. Do you remember this sacred feeling in your childhood, when you had your first secret or your first guess or feeling about something? On the one hand, you wanted to share it with someone and keep it to yourself on the other hand. I mean dreams or knowledge that we once had and in spite of everything we have kept them, embodied or convinced of their truth. These memories are very important for us as a part of our personality. So this artwork is also about the belief in ourselves. This collage is made on hardboard. In addition to magazine clippings, I also used wires and electrical tape. Thank you for visiting my shop!

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Jill Austen creates collages that inspire you and put you in a good mood every time you look at them. “My main task,” she says, “is to invent and implement artwork that would motivate any person to realize his desires or would be an emotional support for achieving a goal. And, of course, they should look great in the interior!” In her artworks, she loves to mix objects that would hardly have met together in everyday life. “I like to have a new look at ordinary things, to combine the incompatible and create something new, unusual, special out of them. Humor, breaking patterns, and a reminder to buy champagne - this is how I would describe my work,” says Jill.
