About The Artwork
This is a pure abstract with a modern twist. It began life as a title centered around the irony of the endless versions of the Now Music compilations. From the title grew the concept and the work as it now stands. I wanted to include homage to some great music whilst keeping the work as pure an abstract as possible. This piece appears simple, but it is deceptively complex, drawing the viewer in deeper and deeper as they discover all of its little nuances. The white under-painting gives way to subtle Rothko-esque edges and vibrance that are interconnected and entwined by characteristic geometric style of lines. This is truly a unique piece that combines modern themes with styles of pure and timeless abstraction.
