The artwork has several inches extra borders around it, for comfortable stretching by the framer. Artwork n.646 Dimensions 68,00 x 68,00 x 2,50 (cm) This is another work from the "Dolls series". I took inspiration on this series thinking about the many women "used" as dolls. It's a painting made with acrylics and lots of little pieces of paper on which you can read words and phrases scattered here and there. It is often like this when we really get close to the other person: we perceive their secret messages sometimes yes, sometimes no. Signed and dated in back. Each piece is securely packaged, wrapped and protected for shipping and will arrives rolled in a tube completely safe included the Certificate of Authenticity. I use DHL courier: European shipping arrives in 24/48 hours; International shipping arrives in 48/72 hours. A few days of delay can be caused by customs clearance at the borders. I need about 7 days to dispatch; about 10 days for extra-UE. A delivery tracking number is provided. Different light sources can give different colours on the photos. Sizes can be slightly different. Art to save the planet! I make my little part recycling materials in my arts, specially recycling paper. I love to paint abstract landscapes but in the last few years, I was been fascinated with portraits - whether an abstract subject or a real one. Painting is locking in the exact moment, so mine paintings are often a faded memory or something erased from time. Sometimes the objects of mine paintings are glimpses of walls that are eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that grow over time. The time that passes inexorably is the main theme of my work. Because of mine background with sculptures, I'm familiar with the third dimension and the sense of touch. I applie these to mine paintings, which are characterized by touches that are wellperceived to the naked eye. The memory fades; time passes too quickly and there is no time to remember everything, all the details of a face, all the words heard. The art serves to remember, to leave a testimony of our existence. In my last works I'm using a mine own technique recycling office paper and day life paper such as bills, receipts, invoices, financial statements, Tax collection folders, business plans, magazines. This shredded paper become an artwork. During the compulsory quarantine due to COVID-19, having finished all the supplies of A4 paper to be recycled, I started shredding all the paper in the house considered waste. Thus the latest works have a greater consistency and materiality due to the presence of less delicate paper than the simple A4 sheet. The wrapping paper present in the products purchased and consumed in daily life, reappears in another form, avoiding landfill: containers of pasta, flour, cans of tuna, toothpaste, drugs, ice cream, advertising flyers...
