About The Artwork

In a world filled with chaos and change, still we have hope. In my work, I aim to offer spiritual perspectives from non ordinary reality in which the idea of energy exchange can occur. Peace is the missing Piece in most of our lives currently. As our world struggles to find peace within, perhaps we shall engage more of our spiritual selves, more light within as we seek to heal not only our world at large, but illness which seems to be running rapid. Many move from traditional ways of thinking and being often times to alternative. Still the change requires a balance and trust. I strive for balance in my work hoping to create a equilibrium of forces, a sense of hope. Tranquility. The sharing of healing and spiritual modalities. It is my intent and hope that in moments of viewing a up lifting of heart may occur.

I am a magical realism oil painter with a focus on figures, hybrids, whimsical and the metaphysical. My focus is “life as it is and life of the imagination”. As stated by Carl Jung, your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside awakes. Sheryl Ann Noday is a artist born in Southern California where she obtained her first degree in fine art, with a focus in photography from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She went on to become LA's first female assistant working with the distinguished Matthew Rolston.  She soon opened her photography studio on Hollywood & Vine. Her photography has been published worldwide with recognition in Brazil, Germany, England, Paris, holding 7 Key Art Awards, and numerous magazine / album covers. From early on in life, Sheryl has had a passion for the mystical and a unwavering commitment to spirituality. She has deep understanding of metaphysical research, the subconscious, healing and universal communications.  With an overwhelming desire to paint, a location move to Chicago, Sheryl embraced a life long dream to studying painting at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Historic Palette & Chisel. Sheryl has participated in over 60 juried group exhibitions. Her paintings have been featured on book covers and magazines with collectors throughout the US and abroad. She has appeared on several guest radio shows illuminating visionary art. Sheryl's art has been twice juried by James Rondeau, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Art Institute of Chicago. She has been featured in galleries and publications globally with a newly released short film,  "The Voices of Crystal Skull Consciousness".  I am inspired by life itself. In all of its forms, diversities. I see myself as a painter/journalist who makes visual commentary on social and spiritual ideas channeled to humanity and the impact this on people in the 21st century.
