About The Artwork
Collage composition of my new series FROM DOOR TO DOOR. They are a set of paintings inspired by great masters of universal art in impossible compositions in time and space. This one features a detail from the painting "Allegory of Venus and Cupid" (1540) by the Italian Renaissance painter Bronzino, on Monet's painting "The Water Lily Pond" (1899). As unexpected spectators at the bottom, 4 characters from the painting "De Staalmeesters" (1662) by the Dutch master, Rembrandt. A door drawn in charcoal draws attention to the most important element in the composition: Venus and Cupid over the bridge.
