About The Artwork
This Piece of Collage came together after a holiday in Turkey visiting and photographing various interesting Architecture, one place visited was The Bodrum Castle where the Necklace portrayed in the Collage came from within the walls from the small shop. Also seeing the signatures of the Sultans which was printed on a leaflet which was given to me. On returning to finish my Art Work many pieces of Ottoman works were completed and sold at the Exhibition in the village of St.Ippolytes, Hertfordshire, Uk. The Ottoman table made and printed in the style of the period together with many yards of shantung material in burnt orange also silk printed with the design of various ideas from the inspiration of the Sea and the Mosque together with the silver necklace which I still own. All this is shown in my book published and printed called "An Artist Journey", copies may be obtained from Amazon and public Libraries.

I was born in 1941 at Bushy, Stanmore, Middx,UK , worked as a typist in an Import & Export firm in London and my name was Griffiths, I subsequently married several times. Unfulfilled as a typist I joined the RAMC and served as an orderly within the medical centre there for 2yrs. On leaving I went to S.Africa with my sister and carried on my secretarial career in the Johannesburg Hospital and worked there for six years, happy there but still not satisfied I brought my children back to England, and pursued my interest into Art and began to do Art at the Local North Hertfordshire College. As a mature student, they offered pupils an Art course over several years as Batchelor of Technology in Art & Design. B.Tec Diploma June 1994 - Business & Technology Education Council.
