About The Artwork
This resin-coated and highly reflective piece is a mash-up collage of some of my other work ('Pop Hybrids', which are already mash-ups in their own right) - 12" metallic C-prints (plus chrome mylar) cut into tradition half-square quilting triangles adhered to a 'floating' 6mm Sintra panel. The motif is a chevron quilt pattern, and the subject matter of the work featured is Andy Warhol and some of his contemporaries: Edie Sedgwick, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Lou Reed.
