About The Artwork
Collage composition of my new series FROM DOOR TO DOOR. They are a set of paintings inspired by great masters of universal art in impossible compositions in time and space. The inspiration for this painting is the lower part of the Last Judgment: The Universal Flood (1537-1541) by Michelangelo for the Sistine Chapel (The Vatican), due to the drama of the scene. In the center of the collage, presides over what I consider to be the best sculpture of this Renaissance genius: Moses (1513-1515) in the tomb of Pope Julius II framed by a door with a gold background, the sacred color par excellence.
