Available in Limited Edition of 10. Elizabeth Taylor had sex appeal, glamor and good looks that made her the most photographed woman in the world. She had it all until alcohol, drugs, food addiction, disease and time eroded her beauty, health and spirit. A stint in rehab turned a lifetime of willfulness, self-indulgence, decadence and hedonism to humility, grace and service. When no one else would, Taylor challenged the hypocrisy and discrimination against AIDS victims in favor of compassion and care. With a small group of physicians and scientists, she formed the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) and began her tireless commitment to end the epidemic. Elizabeth’s foundation carries her mission in the fight for social justice and human rights for people living with HIV and AIDS to achieve an AIDS-free world. This work does not show her as glamorous but rather honors her as flawed but still a queen. She is made from pearls and hat pins as well as various other jewels like the ones in her collection.
