About The Artwork

A woman in a red and black dress walks through a city park carrying a red umbrella, the rain having just stopped on a warm autumn day. The trees are full of red and orange leaves, and the ground is covered with them as well. It's a strange time just as the afternoon gives way to evening: the sun has not quite set but has sunk below the clouds. Its light still hits the tops of the buildings outside the park, but darkness is descending rapidly. The streetlights have all just come on with a glow enhanced by the subtle mists of the wet weather. Something has gotten the woman's attention. As she turns to look, a dark shadow approaches her. Most of my art usually fits in a particular genre: western, fantasy, wildlife, etc., but sometimes I get in the mood to do something that is just fine art depicting a contemporary subject. I got the idea for this image while taking my daughter to a park on the north side of Atlanta this fall. It had just stopped raining, and I liked the various combination of wet reflections, shadows, and colorful leaves. Thanks for looking, Daniel FineArtByDaniel.com

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I want my art to be the doorway to ones imagination, a spark that leads to daydreams of journeys into history, fantasy worlds, and even the occassional dark lands of horror. Hence, I refer to my art as work as "Adventurous Art". Growing up in the foothills of the Appalachians, I've spent a great deal of time outdoors hiking, fishing and camping in the forests of north Georgia. Consequently, nature and organic forms play a big role in my images. I like to portray animals and creatures, but I’ll depict the occasional person as well; and almost always set in a natural environment. My art has been featured in the pages of Wild West, natural history, and horror magazines. I've had illustrations appear on everything from the covers of fantasy novels to the science sections of newspapers. A few of my works have even found their way into museums of science and history. So, welcome...and sit back and enjoy the adventure.
