20"X14" Metal-Point: Silver, platinum metal-point abstract drawing on cobalt and roman ash mineral ground embellished with gold leaf on wood support "Array" is an abstract work that combines my Greek Orthodox heritage and ancient monistic cosmological philosophies depicting and Array of Arche connected by a tapestry of geometric thought to form the boundless Apeiron the primordial chaos. (see below for definitions) Arche (/ˈɑːrki/; Ancient Greek: ἀρχή; sometimes also transcribed as arkhé) is a Greek word with primary senses "beginning", "origin" or "source of action" (ἐξ ἀρχῆς: from the beginning, οr ἐξ ἀρχῆς λόγος: the original argument), Apeiron (/əˈpirɒn/; ἄπειρον) is a Greek word meaning "(that which is) unlimited," "boundless", "infinite", or "indefinite"[1] from ἀ- a-, "without" and πεῖραρ peirar, "end, limit", "boundary",[2] the Ionic Greek form of πέρας peras, "end, limit, boundary".[3]
