Art Description

Drawing: Gesso, Pastel on Other.

This is the note and inspiration I received from Pat for this commissioned piece titled "Augie".

When Governor Thompson took office, he lived in the Mansion with his Irish Setter he named Gov. When Gov moved in, Augie wrote him a letter suggesting to him that the Governor provide lots of Milk Bones to ease any anxiety he was experiencing having moved down from Chicago.

Well, just a week or two later, Augie received a letter back from 'Gov' thanking him for the warm suggestion and that he would insist the Governor take heed and give him lots of Milk Bones. Isn't that a hoot?
