About The Artwork
Wildlife, nature, and beautiful colors are always the main inspiration to my pieces. "Augustus," was one of my first drawings in this style.The wolf was an easy choice for me to begin with because it is representative of strength and the journey to self-discovery - both qualities I needed at the time of the "Augustus'" creation. When viewers see my work, I hope it resonates beauty, simplicity, and the wonder of nature and wildlife that I instill in all of my pieces. My works are meant to share the delicate and unique qualities of each subject. Wildlife and nature are such a huge and wonderful aspect to our world and they should never be overlooked or forgotten. Colored Pencils and ink pens are my main mediums. I love the control I have over the colored pencils and the opposing forces of color vs. black inks. My art is highly inspired by Canadian culture. I have a deep respect for the individual cultures here and am proud to be able to add my own style/take on the fantastic artists who have inspired me.
