About The Artwork

My art is a celebration of detail and precision. I work deliberately in a medium that I can tightly control, making no unintended marks. Constantly sharpening my pencils and working entirely freehand, I draw objects with often unnoticed or unappreciated details. The objects I depict are surrounded by large white spaces, allowing the viewer to be fully absorbed into the piece and appreciate its intricate details. My latest work focuses on capturing antique liquor bottles. By drawing these artifacts as they exist today, with their wrinkled and stained paper labels, I aim to emphasize the beauty found in aging. Many of these intriguing bottles have been discovered within the walls of old homes, buried deep in the ground, or passed down through generations, accompanied by captivating family legends. Within the delicate lines and textures of my detailed drawings, I invite my audience to imagine the layers of history, stories, and emotions embedded within these overlooked artifacts.
