This series of ink drawings are tropical night-scenes occupied by three characters, a nude woman, a man with a pipe in a suit, and a tiger. The characters both belong to the landscape and are foreign to it. There is secrecy and hostility. I imagine the scenes similar to those in a silent theatre; the characters are moving through the set watching each other and watching out for their surroundings. There is displacement and death, plotting and quietness, deceit and fear.
