About The Artwork
Charcoal and pastel on Fabriano paper. A collection of female figures telling their own story and emotion. The figure in the foreground is holding a strong standing pose, twisting her body to suggest looking at the viewer. The ochre tones reflect the tactile skin with the darker red and black tones defining the structure of her form. The two figures behind her add to the story. The figure on her right is ambiguous and softer, where as the bluey figure is quietly confidently in the background. The image has different textures and energies to explore within the figures.

At present I am studying with a collective of artists in London, often at the studios with the tutor, Dilip Sur of 'The Royal College of Art'. Previously I lived in Barcelona painting in the studios 'Mina Galleries' with other 2d artists, performance artists and dancers. Prior to this I gained a BA Hons in Art and Art History at Anglia, Cambridge under the tutor Andrew Aarons & Thomas Newbolt.
