About The Artwork
The "EVA" is a drawing made with a pencil and a fine lead pen on a primed canvas. The motif is primarily based on an Eva sculpture by the German sculptor Tilman Riemenschneider. I put this figure in my own iconographic context and changed some details of the figure. For example, the figure is missing almost the entire right arm today - my partner at the time had to serve as a model; the arm that drops the withered fig leaves is from her ...
