MateriaIs used are Metalic paint markers on satin art roll paper. This artwork comes rolled in a tube ready for you to frame yourself. The metalic markers create a sheen and glow when it catches the light which gives a nice final touch to the peice which is mixed media. The background is printed as a vector - I then drew over the pink with the melatic pens.I chose a peach sunset / sky background to capture the sillouhettes of the geese to make the whole composition feel serenic and calm and balanced. I feel the pink and navy gives it a nice touch. I have quite a few bird artworks especially geese, I find them to have great personalities and always make me smile which is why I enjoy drawing them. I have been experimenting with different markings with different pens and markers and really liked metalic effects and am thinking of doing some in paintings also. I hope the viewer gets a sense of calm and balance when they look at the picture which is what I have in mind when creating. I feel it has a somewhat japanese type of tone to it which seems to crop up a lot in my artworks.

As a person I would describe myself as: sensitive, intuitive, introverted and impulsive with a quiet temprament. I can feel other peoples energy and feelings very easily and use art work as away to retreat and withdraw from being too overwhelmed with the world. Being an Artist helps me deal with Hypomania (a fast and elevated mood state) in a positive way where ideas form and sequence with speed. It is important to me to use this energy in a constructive rather than destructive manner. I would describe most of my work as quite 'child like' were I think my inner child and silly humor shines through. I like things to look quite 'loose' and rough around the edges. I am very observant and like to capture the all kinds of funny and captivating things animals can get upto. I am always changing and trying new mediums as it helps me to grow and change as a person and as an Artist. I am currently loving Indian Inks, Fine liner pen illustrations and minimilism. I am the owner of a small wedding stationary business called 'Pretty in ink Prints' where I sell my card designs via Etsy. I have always had a flare for business and love exploring new ideas and creations too. It would be a pleasure to start selling some of my more personal art works so that I can hopefully afford to hire some Studio space as I currently do not have any proper space to use.
