About The Artwork
Inspired by the 1999 NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, I am here Bernini's St. Teresa in ecstasy and the bombs are coming toward me. It's a sketch for painting that I intend to do, and inside these bombs are small heads of Gen. Clark, which will be more clear in the painting. I remember seeing him on TV back then as he announced the strikes and he was so business like. His features were pleasant and his demeanor robotic, like he was selling something. This terrified me. I see him now on YouTube selling peace in the same manner and I even like to listen to him because I find out how things were 'behind the scenes' and how a soldier thinks. I find it fascinating.
