O''vwede Efe Okorodudu is a self-taught artist and he was born in Nigeria, Delta state and grew up in the city of Benin city and being surrounded by traditional artists (sculpting, carving, drawing, painting and architecture design.) His love for multimedia art, rural and urban art started from a young age. In his late teens he began drawing and painting with watercolour, and with its unforgiving nature allowed him to forge a love, respect and passion for modern contemporary art. In 2006, he gained admission into the University of Delta state to study education and policy of art. This was a crucial stepping stone for him and to confirm his desire to be an art teacher and to share his passion for painting and drawing with the wider audience. Mr Efe relocated to England in 2011 after his graduation to further his education. In 2008 He held his first solo exhibition in Benin City at the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre, by kind invitation of the Oba of Benin. It was indeed an honour to have his work recognised at that level, and so has his desire to hold more international exhibition shows in the uk and other countries also. My Efe displayed an innate talent for visual / contemporary arts, constantly seeking opportunities to experiment various mediums and techniques. Fuelled by their boundless imagination and an insatiable curiosity, He embarked on a lifelong journey to refine His artistic skills and develop a signature style. One of the defining characteristics of his art is the ability to seamlessly blend different artistic influences. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of art movements, such as expressionism, impressionism, mixed media and abstract art, they have cultivated a style that transcends boundaries and defies categorization. Their versatility allows him to fluidly express my vision through different mediums, including oil /acrylic painting, sculpture, POP art, dancing art and digital art. Aesthetically, His art is a captivating fusion of vivid colours, intricate details, and captivating textures. My keen sense of composition and an impeccable eye for balance result in visually arresting pieces that command attention. He skilfully play with light and shadow, creating dynamic contrasts that enhance the overall impact of his artwork and evoke a wide range of emotions.
