ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This drawing was inspired by the beautiful coastline in Byron Shire and Ballina Shires, Northern NSW. Australia. It is where I live. I go to the beaches and headlands with my thick hand made rag paper or canvas. I bring all my drawing implements and mediums. In this instance I used inks, charcoal, graphite as well as sea water and wind. Back in my studio, I refine the artwork. Then have it framed. The artwork retains the immediacy and the freshness of 'plein air' and hopefully you can see the process. The artwork is about 'process'
