About The Artwork

Based on the Japanese proverb of See No Evil... I have used hats to cover the women’s mouth, ears and eyes dressed in similar polka dots but maintaining and individuality for each figure. Fun, colorful and a conversation piece for sure.

Dino Paul was born in Santa Rosa, California, living throughout California before settling in Phoenix, Arizona in 1984. Dino grew up with coloring books, sketchpads, chalkboards and a potter’s wheel at his disposal. He took many art and illustration courses before graduating with a degree in Graphic Design from California State University, Chico in 1983. Dino’s graphic design and illustration work has garnered numerous awards and recognition both locally and nationally. His work has been featured in juried design publications such as Communication Arts, Graphis, Print Magazine, and Step-By-Step magazines. His designs have also been reproduced in hardbound books such as Logo Lounge, Typography, AR100 and Graphis. In 2006, while working on a design project, Dino accidentally spilled Bestine solvent on some layout prints he was reviewing. It was a small crisis, but led to the discovery of the effect that solvents have on printed sheets of paper. For the next four years, he experimented with combining different solvents such as acetone, paint thinner and Bestine on a variety of substrates. These playful exercises slowly became more elaborate and detailed, what he calls “turning chaos into art.” In October of 2011, Dino shared his creations with a small group and immediately sold two of the pieces. Since that day, Dino began to move his focus to his fine art. Dino Paul’s work is shown and collected internationally.
