Hilltribe Mother and Child Drawing

I lived in Thailand for twenty years and wandered every where. I loved the Hill Tribes as they live a very simple life. Every where I went I took my camera and sketch books. Now sad to say their life styles and villages have become just another Tourist Trap. Perhaps my art work from Thailand will remind the viewer of what their culture was like before . I chose to use drawing materials as it was impossible to paint with bulky easels and other art items, not mentioning curious eyes. Pastels, Conte crayons, and ink pens or pencils are easy to carry.
