About The Artwork

There are little tracks and ancient roadways all over Mull and I enjoy the mystery of imagining where they lead to. At any moment, the weather can change and the rains move in. This charcoal and pastel drawing tries to capture the dark soft atmosphere inherent to West Coast locations.

I am an artist based in Gloucestershire, UK but originally from Perthshire, Scotland. I have been fortunate to exhibit in some prestigious institutions including Royal Academy, London, RWA, Bristol and RSA, Edinburgh. I trained in Fine Art Drawing and MFA Painting and have literally been drawing my whole life. My proudest achievement is having my ink drawing 'Ghoul School' in the permanent collection of Prints and Drawings at The British Museum. I was also delighted to receive 'Finest Drawing' award at the National Open Art Competition in 2013.
