About The Artwork
The second of the series. Inspired by the works of Julio Pomar, in this drawing I tried to emulate the sense of speed and struggle involved in the setting of a horse race, quickly capturing the scene with pen and ink. The dynamic strokes this technique provides makes it one of my favourite mediums for impressionistic drawings of this sort.
