Self-Portrait with Poetry Text Drawing

Artists in history have always tried to capture their existence with drawn or painted self-portraits. It is a genre that documents their development and evolution as visual people wishing to record their personality, state of being, and a moment in time that they created and lived. In this artwork, I have followed the tradition of this genre, with the drawn image of myself in marker and pen and ink. Added to the rendering of my face, I expressed the emotionality of my life at that moment, with thought, words, and sentiments that reflect a time and a transitory phase of my growing older with perhaps more awareness, introspection, and intensity.
