The Blue Hour is when the sun is below the horizon, when it is just about to rise, and the sky takes on a deep blue color.This is the early morning view from my window capturing the first light of the day. It is certainly a moody drawing where the trees are in shadow not lit up yet. Perhaps it captures that moment between sleep and being fully awake.

B. 1955 in Brooklyn, NY. Raised in Queens, moved to Manhattan, then back to Greenpoint, Bklyn. Moved in 1988 to a small rural town in the Rocky Mountains, Ridgway, CO where I still live and have a studio. I lived in Spain in 2012-2013 and continue to make regular trips there to draw and paint.
