It's early and the high rollers have not yet converged in the gaming rooms. The croupier floats on the conch in the water room to enjoy the last free moments before her shift. Adorning the walls are the examples of money games...The Cowrie; The Seawan; The Wampum; Ullo. They represent the coinage or beads that are used in the establishment. As she is on her feet for so many hours, treading the hard floors, she revels in these calming moments of quiet solitude. It is indeed, a haven for the management and workers. There are rumours that other events occur here but so far she hasn't been invited. She'll practise lolling nonchalantly just in case.
