Throw This Ball Drawing

This work is inspired by my dog. Or, maybe more accurately, my wife's dog. His name is Porter. He is anxious, spastic, guarded, obsessive, alarming and stressful to be in the car with. My in laws don't like him at all. He scares my wife's entire family. My family's not much better. They let him come over, but reluctantly. He barked at everyone a couple Christmases ago and they've never really let him off the hook for it. Can't say I blame them. He also bullies our other dog, Zoey. She's Daddy's dog. But thats another drawing. Despite all his quirks, Porter really is an amazing dog and he has a beautiful love for my wife. Their relationship is enviable. He absolutely lives and breathes for her. Mommy is everything. And the feeling is mutual. So, I guess you could say this drawing was not just inspired by Porter, but more by the bond he shares with my wife. It's helped me to see dogs in a whole new light: as more than dogs. I hope someone identifies with the sentiment in my drawing and can appreciates it enough to add it to their home or the home of a loved one. Thanks for your time.
