A collection of modern silk tapestries that explores a meditative state of mind in which thoughts and self reflections are held captive while a deeper search for signs of exposing light can fill their place. Where one moves intuitively and limitations are rejected to make room for self discovery. A continual search for what is true. I was originally inspired by noticing moments in nature when movement, light, and shadows all aligned in a beautiful yet simple way. I would encounter feelings of peace and serenity when I took the time to appreciate these simple compositions created by nature. My tapestries are an exploration of harnessing these observations and bringing them into a home or space as an encouragement to stop and observe.
