About The Artwork

In the Silence & Song series, I delve deep into the unspoken narratives that have shaped the lives of Iranian women throughout history, both before and after the advent of Islam. These artworks are a testament to the enduring strength and resilience of the women who have walked the path of Iranian history, stories that have often been concealed or overlooked. Each piece in this series reflects the untold and often sombre experiences of Iranian women, drawing inspiration from the collective, hidden stories of my lineage and those of others. These stories are like a treasure trove of emotions, memories, and struggles, passed down through generations. They have, until now, remained concealed, waiting to be unearthed, embraced, and shared.
