About The Artwork
This painting was commissioned by Malcolm Hamilton. It is a portrait of his mother Trish at the age of 85 at her house in Nelly Bay on Magnetic Island, North Queensland offering a cup with a floral design. In the background is a photograph of Trish with her husband John, who passed away in 1998. She is smiling happily at the viewer. There are rings on the second and third fingers of her right hand, and a wedding ring on the third finger of her left hand. She is wearing green diamond shaped pendant earrings and a black pullover.
