Contemporary abstract art, ready to hang. Sophie Mangelsen creates her very own and characteristically gestural abstractions, giving them her very personal touch of elegance, rhythm and finesse and adding her Berlin vibe. Her informal abstract art appeals to introspection and evokes an inner and outer dialogue with the viewer - posing questions about consciousness and unconsciousness, harmony and disharmony, balance and imbalance - to inner landscapes of the complexity of our mind. A DAY IN LIFE is inspired by Berlin walls and atmosphere, as well as by jazz music, in particular the piece "A Day in the Life" by Wes Montgomery. It combines a very alive color palette of neon splashes, vibrant pink and blue touches on a greyish wall-like background with her powerful brush strokes. Just like a graffiti on a Berlin wall or house fassade. A DAY IN LIFE creates a vivid statement in a modern design and interior. Hand signed on the back and in light color on the front. Purchase with Gallery Certificate of Authenticity. Worldwide shipping. Outside of Europe, the artwork is shipped in a tube. Berlin, 2023.

Sophie Mangelsen creates her very own and characteristically gestural abstractions, giving them her very personal touch of elegance, rhythm and finesse, all in a Berlin understatement vibe. Her informal art appeals to introspection and evokes an inner and outer dialogue with the viewer - posing questions about consciousness and unconsciousness, harmony and disharmony, balance and imbalance - to inner landscapes of the complexity of our mind. Sophie Mangelsen, from Berlin, is additionally inspired on her journey by her experience as a psychologist and therapist. She studied at the Université Paris VIII and the University of Leipzig and found her form of expression in painting already in her youth. Her paintings are shown at international exhibitions and are in private collections around the world. In 2022 she was invited as a jury member in the international competition of BALTHASART. The artist lives in Berlin Kreuzberg.
