About The Artwork
This work follows up from Water/Smoke. It makes me think of botanicals under the surface of the water, but has no direct reference. Like the other works in this series, this painting exists as a platform for meditation. It's a visual space to produce a sense of calm and serene contemplation. That's what I feel when I make these, and its what I want others to experience. I chose green because in today's world, there isn't enough of that color around, especially if you live in the city, or in my case, the desert. I've been told the color green makes us happy and relaxed. The gold is 18k gold ink. I chose it because I'm bougie.

Currently I study Art History at ASU and teach art online while producing abstract and landscape pieces.
