About The Artwork
'A perilous crossing' is obviously rooted in today's refugee crises and specifically in the desperate Mediterranean crossings. It's a rag-tag work. Boards and a broken oar on a wood frame. Heavy too. Needs a solid surface if it is to be hanged (It's ready to hang. Needs two hooks). It can also be leaned against a wall. (The off-white boards behind the work are not part of the work.)
