The "AMAPOLA" (Poppy flower) is essentially the sweetest symbol of the Huicholes´cosmology; and this flower has a different anatomy from the other; reason why is unique and unrepeatable, likewise; my "Amapolas Madre" are also pieces with unique identities and without a doubt part of the Happy World family, identifiable by the overlapped layer designs that characterize the peyotes and their different versions. The Amapola family includes circular pieces of MDF panels, as well as shaped on canvas similar to peyote hearts. Unlike Amapola core and Peyote core; the Amapola Madre is a more laborious piece because it is made of composite designs which together have a hyperdimensional effect. I am inspired by the culture of the Huichol people, an indigenous population located in the center of Mexico, mainly in the states of Jalisco and Nayarit. Among many things, the Huicholes are characterized for the use and consumption of Peyote for religious purposes. Happy World Series, deals with the morphology and architecture of the peyote plant, as well as for its effects. At the same time, I re interpreted the aesthetics of the Huichol art, as the result of the effects of peyote. As in all I do; Geometry is still present in my work. Happy World comprises of Painting on latex, canvas, MDF board and Digital; also various types of sculptures, as well as installations. Amapola Madre (Circular frame of 190 cmø x 6cm detph) and it is signed on the back along with the certificate of authenticity attached also signed. ***This piece is painted using natural pigments from indigenous communities; it does not need frame and depending of the type of surface on which it is hung is the system that will need to adapt to the frame.

From my early age I have been attracted to architecture and I discovered that modernism is the style that inspires me the most but also the aesthetic legacy of the popular arts of Mexico, especially the indigenous arts, and I thought, how would it be to mix it with the aesthetic concepts of the handicrafts and textiles of these ancient people? I confess that it has been an arduous task of permanent experimentation and I can say that from the beginning of my career I have been an abstract minimalist artist but this process has been organically leading me to a metamorphosis where I have allowed myself to go from the extremes of geometric simplism to the saturation of textures of maximalism.
