Inspired by the amazing photographer Ulla Wolk, Yasmine found the most interesting model doing the great Marylin Monroe in many poses and couldn't help but creating the perfect illustration in her head. So after having the permission from pretty Ulla to use these photographs, she started to make the design digitally on her mobile first until it's just like what she had in mind, then paint it with acrylics on canvas and took about two months. And as usual each of Yasmine's paintings is called by its soundtrack, this one kept playing the song Alone by Celine Dion in her head over and over till it's completely finished. She really hopes you feel it like she does, hear it like she does.

A self learning painter, born on March, 1986, in Cairo, Egypt. Lives and works as an artist in Cairo, Egypt. Since I was a little girl, I never managed to express or show how I feel inside. I was and still am so sensitive about everything. I used to make lots of sketches privately but that wasn't really a relief. I tried to write thoughts many times, then I started writing poems. It was so much better than pencil sketches but still not that good for me. I was always afraid to take a step and show my deep feelings through art. But eventually I decided to try teaching my self how to use other art materials like oil and acrylics instead of pencils, canvas instead of paper. I somehow managed to touch some people's hearts through my paintings and that was more than enough to satisfy my emotional, never sleep, deep feelings.
