About The Artwork
The painting is made with texture paste and varnished. I noticed this patriotic landscape in the Fayoum oasis, which is near Cairo... A few years before the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I was already abroad. Suddenly, I began to notice the combination of yellow and blue colors everywhere. These were dishes placed next to each other, painted houses, hanging laundry... Everywhere my eyes stopped and noticed it. Although this was not the case before... And six months later, the war began... and the Ukrainian flag was everywhere in the news, people wanting to show their support for Ukraine used either the flag or a combination of yellow and blue in their clothes... Ukrainians who had to leave due to the war to different parts of the world also began to notice yellow-blue colors in everyday life and share these findings on social networks... And when Ukrainians look at their native flag in another country, tears come to their eyes...

My name is Yevgeniya (Eugenie - it’s that's the french version of my name ) I’m from Ukraine. I was born in Odessa where did I get my art education in K. D. Ushinsky South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University. I am inspired by nature and people, and traveling gives me new impressions, strength and ideas.
